What Our Packaging Stands For
At Wild Rose, we believe that how we create is just as important as what we create.
More Than a Package
We believe that sustainability isn't just about the materials we use, it's about the hands we hold. Our signature earth-toned bags are more than just carriers for your favorite pieces; they are the result of a dedicated partnership with the talented artisans of Kawangware. In the heart of this vibrant community, every bag is hand-assembled, folded, and finished with meticulous care.
By moving our production into the community, we’ve traded industrial machinery for human touch. This collaboration allows us to provide consistent work to local craftspeople while ensuring that our environmental footprint remains light. When you carry a Wild Rose bag, you aren't just carrying a purchase, you're carrying a story of empowerment, community resilience, and a shared vision for a more conscious future.
What Makes the Wild Rose Bag Unique

The little things matter
In a world of mass production, we choose the "little." The extra second spent perfecting a fold, the hand-tied knot on a handle, and the smiles shared in the workshop. We believe that when you get the small things right like who makes our bags and how they are treated the big things take care of themselves. To us, the details aren't just details; they are the soul of Wild Rose.

Made with care
Made with care" isn't just a label for us, it's a physical reality. You can see it in the steady hands of the artisans in Kawangware and feel it in the texture of our recycled packaging. When something is made with care, it carries a different energy. It’s not just an object; it’s a piece of someone’s time, skill, and story.
Sustainable by Nature
We didn’t want our packaging to just be "recyclable." We wanted it to be meaningful.
How Our Bags Are Made
Wild Rose’s packaging starts life as trash collected from Nairobi streets, then is transformed into brown paper by Kawangware Vision Centre to reduce waste and keep it out of dumpsites. Learn about that process and our partnership with the centre, and how every Wild Rose bag empowers vulnerable young people while supporting plastic-free, sustainable fashion. Watch the video.
