Depending on where you are in the world, it takes 2-5 days (Europe/US) for your Wild Rose order to reach you. If you’re in Kenya, you can stroll into a partner store and walk out with a garment in 10 minutes. But that is only the last leg of the journey.
Each Wild Rose piece in your wardrobe, our online store, and a store near you is made possible by a supply chain spanning the globe. From South Asia to South America to East Africa to your wardrobe, here is the journey of a thoughtfully made garment.

Cotton Fabric: India
Our pieces, like all clothes, begin life as fabric. We get this fabric from India, which is one of the largest cotton-producing regions in the world. Its cotton sector is solely responsible for ~20% of the global cotton supply and employs an estimated 50 million people.
Wild Rose has partnered with reliable, trustworthy suppliers to source the highest-quality cotton fabric in India. Nonetheless, our contacts in the region are not limited to sourcing.
Jaipur is a city in northwestern India. It is home to a rich textile culture that manifests primarily in block printing, an art form that involves printing intricate patterns and motifs on fabric using natural dyes and a wooden block. Your favorite Wild Rose prints are printed with this centuries-old craft. Read more here.

Buttons: Ecuador
Buttons are a small but crucial component of clothing. They hold a garment together while providing an intuitive means to get in and out of it. They also enhance the design and texture of a piece, contributing greatly to its aesthetics.
Many buttons today are made from plastic. But this is no option for us. As a sustainable fashion brand, the ecological and environmental issues caused by plastic prompted us to seek an alternative. And this search led us to Ecuador, home to the Tagua nut.
The Tagua nut comes from the Tagua palm. It is also known as vegetable ivory. This is because when dried, it hardens, allowing artisans to carve it into various objects. We use it to make buttons – natural, beautiful buttons with no equivalent when it comes to style and sustainability. Read the full story here.

Design, Cutting, and Sewing: Kenya
From India/Ecuador, the block-printed fabric/Corozo buttons are shipped to Kenya, where the Wild Rose garments come to life. Rosie, our founder and designer, creates unique designs and passes them on to Justus Musyoka, our lead tailor, to cut and stitch into timeless pieces.
Did you know our prints are inspired by local plants and flowers? They also have Swahili names: Waridi, Jua, Mtende, Shauku, Mkindu, etc., referring to the specific plant that inspired its design.
Once a garment leaves Justus' hands, it's ready for you.
You can shop on our online store, and we'll ship it to you wherever you are in the world, or walk into any of our partner stores in Nairobi (House of Treasures, ALH, Wilder Camps), Nanyuki (Northern Nomad), Kilifi (Coast and Shabby), and Kwale (Kennaways Beach Bed) and grab it yourself.
